Another rejection letter this morning, this time from Macmillan Cancer Research. Admittedly it was quite a nice rejection letter, but that was one of the ones I was really hopeful about. :-( Got a rejection letter from JobCentre Plus the other day, but since I applied for that over a month ago I'd already written that one off.
My cough seems to be getting worse again. This I can do without.
Working from home is A Bad Idea. I don't get anything done, and I just feel guilty if I do anything other than work. Perhaps if the work was actually interesting and seemed to have any point to it, it might be different.
Sending lots of emails is pointless when you know you're only going to get one short reply, to the most content-free email of the lot. You'd think I'd have learned by now, but I always have this urge to talk, even when I know the other person isn't listening, isn't interested; and then I just end up getting frustrated when they don't reply.
