Smug marrieds - shadows of echoes of memories of songs — LiveJournal
Smug marrieds
Husbands: 1 (v.v.g.)

I'll write about the ceremony and the reception properly when we're back from honeymoon in a couple of weeks but, in a nutshell: everything was lovely, everybody was lovely, and I spent most of the evening in a sort of delighted daze. I'm so glad so many people could make it, sorry to have missed the people who couldn't, and sad that we couldn't invite everybody!

This afternoon, in the queue at the Co-op, addedentry suddenly started quietly singing "Wife, wife, wife, wife" to the tune of the Monty Python spam song, and I keep grinning every time I think about it. :-)

Congratulations! And glad to hear it all went well.

Sorry I failed to turn up to the party. I had planned to, but by late in the afternoon I realised I was so sleepy that I didn't have any confidence in my ability to get to Oxford competently or still be awake when I got there. Sorry about that. *hugs*

Now I've got this line in my head, "How about a sordid affair? That hasn't got much wife in it."

Congratulations to you and Mr McKnight, and it was a great party on Saturday.

It's the best four-letter word in the language at key moments. Such as those spent standing in queues. ;-D

As if we needed one more reason to giggle and say 'Awww!' about how delightful you are together! Many congratulations and thanks for a fantastic party.
