As an addendum, we may find food beforehand. We may not. We may twitter the location of such comestibulation, so that it appears on your phones if you know us and like us. We may not. Nothing is guaranteed in life, least of all the simple messaging service.

Damn, I'm going to be in Oxfnord for a committedium meeting tomorrow, but will be eating with said committedium afterwards. Oh well...

[I could do early-lunch as done a few months back, but it might be a bit late to try and arrange same]

Arse, I will be in Maidenhead tomorrow, and not Oxford. What are the odds things will still be happening when the last train from Maidenhead gets in?

Something will still be happening, unless the last train from Maidenhead is a signal for the Lamb with seven horns and seven eyes to break the first of the seven seals. They'd say on the timetable if it was.

Actually, Last Train from Maidenhead sounds very much like a Graham Greene thriller. Stamboul Train crossed with the one set in fictional Nottingham.

"On the last train from Maidenhead" is clearly a face pyjama.

Things will still be happening; hope you can come and find us (we'll probably still be in the Jam Factory* which fortunately is right by the station - will txt if we move).

* also a face pyjama, but deprecated.

As it turned out, the last train from Maidenhead was delayed by...something, not sure what, we just had to sit on a train in the middle of nowhere until whatever it was was sorted, and we didn't get back until 2 in the morning, at which point we just wanted to go to bed.

Urgghh. Doom. :-( I assumed you'd got back late & just been too tired... sorry to hear you had such a rub journey.

We'll just have to organise another pub meet when you're in the right city. And maybe with a bit more notice. And best of all we'll be able to go to ANY PUB AT ALL and know that it won't be smoky!

Some day I must actually meet people I virtually like. IYSWIM. Barricaded behind matters of earthshaking importance kept together by the mortar of domestrivia, I look out through a periscope on the peaceful plains...

Pretentious-as-hell way of saying thank you for the invitation.
