These fragments I have shored against my ruins

Mini cheddars. Battered packet found in my pocket the other day and finally eaten today. Helped with boredom, and the hunger that my stomach imagines when I'm bored.

How Stuff Works. Kept me entertained for a while reading about the workings of the internal combustion engine, yesterday.

Trying to think of a good name for my shiny car. (Keeping fingers crossed for her MOT on Friday...) Kept me from going mad while arguing with the insurance people about what "commuting" means. Currently thinking of calling her Pandora. (Cars are for the names you can't inflict on kids.)

Small plastic basket which originally held the physalis (cape gooseberries) I ate earlier today. Looks like it'll do quite nicely for holding half-finished Lush bubble bars when I get round to making my bathroom look tidy and shiny.

Look! Shiny things. Life can't be all that bad.

Update: I was right about the little plastic basket, it now contains all my samples of Lush soaps, and looks very cool with lilac tissue paper woven into it. Particularly next to the two old glass bubble-bath bottles which I've filled with coloured water and glitter, one in turquoise and one in lilac (my bathroom has turquoise fittings, and I've accessorised it in lilac).

There has to be more point to my life than this kind of thing, but I'm buggered if I can work out what it is.
