I want to do whatever common people do
From common places to common interests. I'm disappointed that this colourful exercise in self-classification doesn't distinguish between "rare" and "unique", but I can't quite be bothered to doctor it accordingly...

Also, there are things in my interests list that I should take out... but that's really scraping the displacement-activities barrel.

I like the way that 2 people have "more badgers" but only you are hardcore enough to have "yet more badgers".

I am tempted to escalate the situation by adding "even more badgers than that" as an interest. What would you do THEN?

Similarly, nine people list 'mature cheddar' but only I demand 'extra mature cheddar'.

Lightweight! I always seek Anchor Special Reserve cheddar, or failing that then Vintage at the very least.
j4 From: j4 Date: October 18th, 2004 05:26 am (UTC) (Link)
I would add "infinite badgers"!
huskyteer From: huskyteer Date: October 18th, 2004 05:29 am (UTC) (Link)
Infinity badgers plus one!

Interesting. How did you add 'repetition, repetition' to your interest list?

It's nice to know that if I need any My Little Pony figures mutilated that there are 4 other people I can call upon if you're not around!
j4 From: j4 Date: October 18th, 2004 05:28 am (UTC) (Link)
That was one of the ones I was going to take out, actually, since it's not really something I'm interested in - it was only put there in a moment of childish bitchiness to annoy a My Little Pony obsessive...

You have to admit, it was funny (and childish) at the time :)

That's a cracking icon.

Yours isn't too bad either! :) Credit must go to my fiancee, izzles though.

Hmmm... Well I did the meme myself and wondered: would lots of idiosyncratic interests mark me out as boring (as opposed to being marked, nay branded by my pinstripe suit and conversational abilities). I mean, how interesting is it to be interested in things that no-one else is interested in?

* Sidles up and asks: "Er, are there many websites devoted to Victorian Erotica?" *

are there many websites devoted to Victorian Erotica?

Probably thousands, but I'm not about to google for them at work!

I don't know what it says about the denizens of LJ that BDSM is considered "common".
