Text/context - shadows of echoes of memories of songs — LiveJournal
Subject line of spam: "Griboe-dov's, the deceased's head". Sounded rather freakish and Elder-Gods-ish until I realised what it was.

There's a lot of wittering about decontextualised language, devalued signs, and the erosion of meaning etc. etc. (moo, moo) that I want to do, and do properly without mooing, but it will have to wait until after the Graduate Studies Prospectus is nailed down.

On a sillier note, sign seen in university department: "Student Photocopier". I couldn't help wondering if this was like "Cashier in training, please be patient".

My head is full of words. Sometimes I can't make myself heard over the noise.

If I was a junkman
selling you cars,
Washing your windows
and shining your stars,
Thinking your mind
was my own in a dream
What would you wonder
and how would it seem?
Living in castles
a bit at a time
The King started laughing
and talking in rhyme.

Singing words, words
between the lines of age.
Words, words
between the lines of age.
