You have actually become a metaphor. Gosh. I thought that only happened in Borges stories.

Yikes, I hadn't thought of it like that! :-) I am not sure I'm well-equipped to be a metaphor though -- I think I've got the wrong figure for it (i.e. I would keep wandering off and being a simile or worse).
